About the J. E. Purkyne University Research Library

The University Research Library provides comprehensive librarian and information services (collecting, processing, conservation and providing access to books and information).
The Library has two departments – the Fund Processing Department, and the Services Department. The manager of the library is Mgr. Martin Pečiva.

The Library offers book lending services (for borrowing or on-site study), document copying and scanning, access to electronic databases (fulltext, bibliography), research service etc. After registration with the Library, student cards and employee cards can be used as library tickets.

 

Access to the online catalogue

The Library is situated on the campus premises, Building K (the building on pillars).

 

The university is the home of the European Documentation Centre, which provides access to EU publications. The EDC is part of the Europe Direct network, established by the European Commission and working throughout the EU as well as in other countries.
 
The book fund of the Austrian Library is located in J. E. Purkyne University Research Library since september 2013. The Austrian Library was developed in cooperation with the Department of Germanistics.FF UJEP in Ústí nad Labem and with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna (Bundesministerium für Europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten).
The library is part of an international network of Austrian professional libraries and centers that aim to promote research and education in issues related to Austria and mediate the culture of this country in the North region of Czech republic.
