Die Wissenschaftliche Bibliothek der Jan-Evangelista-Purkyně-Universität in Ústí nad Labem bietet komplexe bibliothekarische und Informationsdienste an (Beschaffen, Verarbeiten, Bewahren und Erschließen des Bibliotheks-und Informationsbestandes).
Die Bibliothek teilt sich in die Abteilung der Bestandsverarbeitung und die Dienstleistungsabteilung.
Direktor der Bibliothek ist Dr. Ivo Brožek.
Die Bibliothek bietet Absenz- und Präsenzausleihe, Kopieren und Scannen, Zugang zu elektronischen bibliographischen und Volltextinformationsdatenbanken, Recherchen usw.
Nach Registrieren in der Bibliothek dienen der Studentenausweis oder der UJEP-Angestelltenausweis als Bibliotheksausweis.
Die Bibliothek befindet sich im Campusareal, Gebäude K (das Gebäude auf den Pylonen).
Im Rahmen der Universität fungiert das Europäische Dokumentationszentrum, das die Publikationen der EU zugänglich macht. Das Zentrum gehört zum Netzwerk der Europe Direct Zentren, das von der Europäischen Kommission errichtet wurde und in der ganzen EU und auch in anderen Ländern tätig ist.
Die Wissenschaftliche Bibliothek wurde am 28. Januar 2013 im Testbetrieb geöffnet.

About the J. E. Purkyne University Research Library
The University Research Library provides comprehensive librarian and information services (collecting, processing, conservation and providing access to books and information).
The University Research Library provides comprehensive librarian and information services (collecting, processing, conservation and providing access to books and information).
The Library has two departments – the Fund Processing Department, and the Services Department. The manager of the library is PhDr. Ivo Brožek.
The Library offers book lending services (for borrowing or on-site study), document copying and scanning, access to electronic databases (fulltext, bibliography), research service etc. After registration with the Library, student cards and employee cards can be used as library tickets.
The Library is situated on the campus premises, Building K (the building on pillars).
The university is the home of the European Documentation Centre, which provides access to EU publications. The EDC is part of the Europe Direct network, established by the European Commission and working throughout the EU as well as in other countries.
J. E. Purkyne University Research Library was open in the new building on 28 January 2013 for a trial run.

Evropské dokumentační středisko

Evropské dokumentační středisko (EDS) zahájilo svou činnost 2. ledna 2006 při Fakultě sociálně ekonomické. EDS je součástí sítě středisek European Direct, zřízené Evropskou komisí a fungující v celé EU i v dalších zemích. EDS byl udělen statut EDC (European Documentation Center), díky čemuž poskytuje Evropská unie středisku vybrané publikace a časopisy zdarma. Cílem EDS je informativně podporovat výzkum, vzdělání a studium otázek evropské integrace na UJEP.
Všem čtenářům - pedagogickým a vědeckým pracovníkům, studentům i odborné veřejnosti – poskytuje EDS zejména krátkodobé výpůjčky knihovního fondu z Evropské unie (cizojazyčné publikace, časopisy, working papers, CD).
